Yesterday I posted my partner wishlist on LinkedIn. Google, Anthropic, Stan, Wispr Flow, Notion and six more, with a free accelerator seat for anyone who could make an intro.
I nearly didn’t post it. A public wishlist is a public place to get ignored, and everyone watching sees the silence.
In the first 20 hours:
An introduction to the co-founder of Stan and another offer to introduce
The team at Wispr Flow found the post and messaged me!!
Asked how to join the accelerator
Two names off the list from one post, with zero ad spend.
LinkedIn is the easiest room on the internet to stand out in!!! Here are 12+ LinkedIn skills, and the order to run them.
Essential Tools:
Stanley - Head of Content - SMS, Whatsapp or Web
Boardy - AI Super Connector - SMS, Whatsapp or Call
Granola 2 Months Free - Doesn’t video record or jump into meetings!
Download the folder, add the skills to Claude, and call them by name. How do you install a skill… Ask AI ;)
PS. Need hands on support? Join a FREE workshop linked at the end…
Most people open the post writer first. I did too. But you can’t write a profile for someone you haven’t named, so start with who you want to reach.
Step 1. Name your ideal client (30 minutes)
build-icp-from-calls reads your recorded calls and builds your ideal client from what people said out loud: the moment they reached out, the problem in their own words, the objection they raised. It also saves the stories and ideas from those calls so you never start a post from a blank page.
It runs on Granola (for call recordings) and Notion. No recordings? Paste in your notes from your last five client or prospect conversations, or just answer its questions from memory. You’ll still leave with one sentence describing your ideal client, like “a founder of a 5 person agency who just lost a big client and is stuck on finding the next one.”
If you can’t fill in that sentence, stop here until you can. Every step after this depends on it.
Step 2. Audit your profile for that person (20 minutes)
audit-linkedin-for-icp-goal asks what LinkedIn is for in the next 90 days, takes the sentence from Step 1 (paste it in if you’re not using Notion), and scores your profile against both. You get a ranked list of fixes with the new words already written.
linkedin-profile-optimizer does the full rewrite if you want it: headline, About, Featured.
Do fix number one today. Usually that’s your headline, and it takes under 30 minutes.
Step 3. Find your stories
No call recordings, so Step 1 found no stories? This fills the gap.
linkedin-interviewer asks you questions one at a time until it has the moments you’d rather not post about, with the numbers attached, and keeps them in a story bank.
Step 4. Write
linkedin-content-planner gives you a 7-day plan: what to post, which hook, which CTA, when.
linkedin-post-writer drafts a post from one of 20 hook formulas, picked by what you want the post to earn.
linkedin-hook-extractor takes a post you wish you’d written and shows you the structure behind it.
linkedin-humanizer strips the tells that make a post read like a chatbot wrote it.
linkedin-repurposer turns one Substack post, talk or podcast into LinkedIn posts.
Step 5. Engage
linkedin-comment-drafter writes comments on other people’s posts that get the author to reply.
linkedin-reply-handler drafts replies to every comment worth answering on your post, in one batch.
linkedin-thread-monitor tells you which of your comments got an author reply, so you follow up while the thread is warm.
Step 6. Measure, then start again
linkedin-engager-analytics shows who liked and commented, sorted by whether they’re your client, your peer or someone you want to reach.
linkedin-employee-advocacy gets your team posting about the company without it sounding like a press release.
Rerun Steps 1 and 2 in 90 days. You’ll know your client better by then, and the new audit score shows whether your profile kept up.
Don’t want to install the skills? Use these two prompts
Prompt 1: name your ideal client and start your ideas bank (Step 1)
Paste this into Claude. It asks you 16 questions first, then turns every meeting after that into content ideas. The extraction part works best with Granola and a Notion database called “Content Ideas Bank”. Without them, paste in your meeting notes and it will list the ideas in the chat instead.
SETUP (first run only)
Before extracting anything, ask me these questions one section at a time. Wait for my answers. Save them and use them to filter every idea from now on. If I've already answered, skip to EXTRACTION.
Content focus
1. What are you known for, or want to be known for, in one sentence?
2. What 3 to 5 topics do you want to own?
3. What do you refuse to post about?
4. What are you selling right now, and what's the next offer after it?
5. Which platforms do you post on, and which one matters most?
6. What should a reader do after reading your content?
Ideal client profile (be specific)
7. Who is your ideal client? Role, industry, business stage, revenue or team size.
8. What does their week look like? Where does their time go?
9. What are the top 3 problems keeping them stuck right now?
10. What have they already tried that didn't work?
11. What exact words do they use to describe their problem? Give me real phrases.
12. What do they secretly want that they won't say out loud?
13. What objections stop them buying?
14. What result would make them tell their friends about you?
15. Who is NOT your client? Who do you want to repel?
16. Where do they spend time online, and who do they already follow?
When I've answered, summarise my content focus and ICP in 10 lines and ask me to confirm before you continue.
EXTRACTION (every meeting)
After each meeting, pull out every content idea that fits my content focus and speaks to my ICP. Add each one as a new page in my Notion database "Content Ideas Bank".
A content idea is any moment where:
- someone asked a question my ICP would also ask
- a problem, mistake or frustration was described in specific terms
- a result, number or before/after was mentioned
- someone disagreed with common advice
- a story was told that illustrates a lesson
- I explained something that made the room go "oh"
For each idea, create one page in Content Ideas Bank with these properties:
- Title: a scroll-stopping hook, max 12 words, in first person, in my ICP's own language
- Priority: High, Medium or Low. High means it's timely, hits a top-3 ICP problem, or is tied to what I'm selling now
- Category: pick the closest existing option. Never create a new one
- Status: Idea
In the page body, add:
- Source line: the exact quote from the transcript that sparked the idea
- ICP problem: which of their problems this speaks to
- Angle: one sentence on why my ICP cares
- Meeting: meeting title and date
Rules:
- Add at least 3 and no more than 10 ideas. Quality over volume.
- Drop any idea that doesn't fit my content focus or speaks to someone who isn't my ICP.
- Strip names and confidential details. Never use client names.
- Skip generic ideas a thousand other creators already post.
- Check the database first. If an idea is already there, don't add it again.
- If nothing is worth posting, add nothing and reply "No content ideas".
Prompt 2: check your profile against that client (Step 2)
Once Prompt 1 has given you your ideal client in 10 lines, paste this in the same chat:
“Here is my LinkedIn headline and About section: [paste]. Using the ideal client you just summarised, tell me whether that person would know within 5 seconds that I’m for them. Then rewrite my headline so they would. Don’t polish it.”
Change the headline today. Then tell three people you changed it.
